Ramesh Nimma, PhD, is an Associate Research Scientist at the Diabetes Research Program, NYU Langone Health, where molecular mechanisms drive diabetic complications with a focus on macrophage biology, extracellular vesicles and vascular regeneration. He has extensive expertise in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, microbiology, and in vivo models of metabolic disease. Dr. Nimma earned his PhD in Biotechnology from NIPER Mohali and has previously conducted research at Florida A&M University and in industry roles supporting upstream process development and protein engineering. His work has led to multiple publications, conference presentations, and ongoing projects aimed at identifying therapeutic targets in diabetes-associated vascular dysfunction.
