Meet Our Finalists

The 2026 Peter Sheehan Young Innovator Award (PSYIA) received submissions from researchers across the United States and internationally, spanning the full spectrum of innovation in tissue regeneration and limb preservation — from wearable devices and AI-powered remote monitoring to biomaterial engineering, gene therapy, and fundamental discovery in wound biology.

After rigorous review by our scientific panel, nine finalists have been selected to present their work in the oral competition stage. They represent seven institutions.

Selection Process

Abstracts were evaluated by an independent scientific panel on three criteria: innovation and originality, feasibility for clinical translation, and potential to advance the industry. All finalists will deliver a 15-minute oral presentation followed by 5 minutes of Q&A before the jury panel. The award winner will be announced following the oral competition.
