Dr. Sashwati Roy is a leading researcher in wound inflammation, tissue repair, and regenerative medicine. She serves as Professor of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh’s McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine, where her NIH- and DoD-funded research focuses on biofilm infection, macrophage biology, and mechanisms of healing in chronic and diabetic wounds.
Dr. Roy has authored over 225 peer-reviewed publications and leads multiple funded programs addressing prosthesis and residual limb health. A former president of the Wound Healing Society, she continues to shape the field through her leadership in translational research and collaborative innovation.
