Dr. Richard Kahn is internationally recognized for his leadership in diabetes, metabolism, obesity, and nutrition research. From 1985 to 2009, he served as the Chief Scientific and Medical Officer of the American Diabetes Association, overseeing professional education, the development of clinical practice guidelines, and the Association’s scientific publications and programs.
Before joining the ADA, Dr. Kahn was an Associate Professor of Pathology at Washington University and earned his PhD in physiology from Georgetown University. His contributions have been honored with the ADA’s Charles H. Best Medal for Distinguished Service and the Albert Renold Medal from the European Association for the Study of Diabetes.
Now retired, Dr. Kahn continues to advise OneGuild on advancing innovation in metabolic health, obesity, and nutrition science.
