Dr. Jayer Chung is a vascular surgeon and clinical investigator specializing in advanced endovascular and open surgical techniques for limb salvage and complex vascular disease. He serves as a vascular surgeon at Houston Methodist Hospital, bringing extensive experience in diabetic foot care and critical limb preservation.
Before joining Houston Methodist, Dr. Chung was Co-Medical Director of the University of Texas Southwestern Wound Center and Chief of Vascular Surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He also holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Science from the University of Texas Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Chung’s clinical and research interests include limb salvage, diabetic foot ulceration, aortic and carotid disease, and the development of multidisciplinary approaches to vascular and wound care.
