Dr. David Armstrong is a Distinguished Professor of Surgery and Neurological Surgery at the University of Southern California, where he directs the National Science Foundation–funded Center to Stream Healthcare in Place (C2SHiP). He is also Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA).
An internationally recognized leader in diabetic limb preservation, Dr. Armstrong has authored more than 720 peer-reviewed papers and 120 book chapters and serves as Co-Editor of the ADA Clinical Care of the Diabetic Foot. He is the Founding President of the American Limb Preservation Society (ALPS) and Co-Chair of the International Diabetic Foot Conference (DF-Con), the largest global meeting focused on the diabetic foot.
Dr. Armstrong is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow, and the youngest-ever recipient of both the ADA’s Roger Pecoraro Award and the ISDF’s Karel Bakker Award — the highest honors in his field.
